Emergency Preparedness

As of May 1, 2012, Virginia Department of Social Services regulations regarding adoption require that
adoptive homes have a written Emergency Preparedness Plan. The following is a series of questions to assist
you in addressing the components of such a plan. Please submit your completed plan with the other supporting
documents for your home study.

Friday’s Child Adoption Services does not house, shelter or take possession of children at any time. In the case of an emergency please call your local emergency service by dialing 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.
